How we redesigned the Serene Massage Therapies website

The client

Serene Massage Therapies was established by Vicky in 2021. The team has grown to seven therapists, now settled upstairs in the main building at Macknade, the food hall and farm shop in Faversham. They offer clinical and sports massage, Swedish and pregnancy massage, reflexology, lymphatic drainage, facials, craniosacral therapy and their own signature treatments, seven days a week.

The challenge

Their old website was built on Wix and had grown one section at a time:

• Everything sat on one long page, with the team, treatments and directions all mixed together.
• There were no prices or treatment lengths on the site, so every visitor had to go to Fresha to work it out.
• Finding the room inside Macknade wasn’t obvious for first-time clients.
• It didn’t feel like the calm, professional treatment room clients actually walk into.

What we built

We designed and built a new website from scratch, in soft linen and sage tones taken from their room, using their own photos throughout.

• A treatment menu that books: all 17 treatments with descriptions, lengths and prices. Clients pick a length and the Book button opens Fresha with that exact treatment already in the basket.
• Meet the team: a photo and short story for each of the seven therapists, with team photos matched to the treatment room.
• Finding us: five simple steps from the Macknade entrance to the room, with opening hours that highlight today.
• Your first visit: what to expect before, during and after a treatment, plus payment and cancellations.
• Work with us: a page for self-employed therapists who’d like to join the team.
• Client exercises: a private page where each client sees their own exercise videos from an unlisted playlist.
• Their rating up front: their 5.0 rating from 461 reviews, with real client quotes.

Behind the scenes

• Every Book button was checked against their live Fresha listing, so each length adds the right treatment and price.
• The whole site is generated from one list of treatments and therapists, so new prices or team members are a quick change.
• Fast, secure hosting on Cloudflare Pages, ready for their domain to move across from Wix.
• Built phone-first, with a fixed booking bar on mobiles and a full-screen menu.
• Their Instagram and Facebook linked throughout, with room for a live Instagram feed.
